THE ARTIST
Mattias Norén is a Swedish artist, born and raised in Eskilstuna, but now living in Alingsås. He studied to become a technical illustrator, but he, like many of his classmates, ended up at web agencies when the demand for web designers at the time was great. After a number of years in the web industry, he started his own business ProgArt Media where he created album covers and other graphic services for the music industry.
He has created hundreds of covers, mostly in the genres of metal and progressive rock. Some of the more well-known names are Sabaton, John Petrucci, Derek Sherinian, Kamelot and Evergrey.
Today he works as a designer at a book publisher and has also released his own book, but there are still some album covers being created every now and then.
